Located in the heart of Europe on the shores of Lake Constance and surrounded by an impressive mountain landscape, the Bregenz Festival offers a unique combination of nature, culture and entertainment.
Carl Maria von Weber's "Freischütz" is one of the most exciting and popular opera thrillers in music history and will be performed for the first time at the Bregenz Festival in 2024. Under the direction of Philip Stölzl, who is known for his historical productions and also created a dreamlike backdrop for Verdi's "Rigoletto" in 2019/2021, a fairytale fantasy work is being created especially for the coming lake stage season.
